Karen Finneyfrock
 Karen Finneyfrock is a poet, performer, host and writing teacher.
Karen has been active in the Poetry Slam movement since 1999 when she competed as a member of the Washington, D.C. Slam Team at the National Poetry Slam in Chicago. Since then, she’s become a prominent figure in poetry slam, performing in national tours with Word Core, as the female lead for C.R. Avery’s “Shot Gun Wedding,” and at a number of national poetry slams. Karen has one full-length book of poetry entitled “Welcome to the Butterfly House.” She’s currently writing her first young adult fiction work.
Her true love is collaboration, performing with dancers, rappers, accordion players, violinists, singers, harmonica-playing beat-boxers, jazz bands and other poets.
