Bob Frazier

Bob_Frazier

In the 1960s, Bob was “one of those kids” that participated in sit-ins at lunch counters. By then, he was already a respected trumpet player receiving all state honors in music. Joining the U.S. Army in 1963, Bob was assigned to the 72 U.S. Army band in Los Angeles, Calif. He later earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in music at the California Institution of the Arts, and by the mid-‘70s, served as music director for KPFK radio in Los Angeles while recording with the likes of Little Richard and leading The Johnny Otis Band. Bob has received grants from the California Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. He loves teaching children.
