Vicky Edmonds is a passionate Seattle writer and poetry teacher. She’s taught around the country and abroad for 20 years in K-12th grade, as well as at universities, arts organizations, youth associations and women’s and parenting groups. Her teaching focuses on trying to find the deepest and most authentic parts of us and then growing them out through poetics to bring our truest voice to the page and to the world. Her published books include “Inside Voices,” “Used to the dark,” “Once drunk / Opening,” “Unpredictable as Breathing,” “Lucid Moments” and the first two volumes in the “Writes of Passage” series. Vicky has also compiled and published over 160 poetry books of the young people she has taught.
