Arts Corps partners with schools and community organizations to provide equitable access to creative arts education for young people across King County.
Youth benefit individually and collectively when arts is embedded as a foundational aspect of community. Youth and our communities grow and expand when young people are given access and opportunity to give voice to their own stories and share them with others. These experiences facilitate personal growth that can help youth to practice creative freedom and courageous leadership. These in turn lead them to live and engage in inclusive, inspiring and diverse culture in ways that promote race and social justice in the arts, their communities and society as a whole. At Arts Corps, we are working tirelessly to ensure all young people have the courage to imagine and freedom to create a just and vibrant future.
To do this, we provide a fabric of arts-based programming to directly engage young people in their own creative and artistic development, to fuel youth voice and leadership, and to influence schools and youth-serving systems to provide equitable access to youth-centered creative learning opportunities.
All of Arts Corps’ programs are offered at no-cost to youth to ensure maximum access.
