Arts Corps relies on our volunteers for their talent, expertise, availability and commitment. We are actively seeking volunteers in the following areas.
Volunteer as a Classroom Assistant
Work directly with students in a volunteer classroom position. This is a good fit for those who want to gain experience as a teaching artist and/or who are in need of service learning hours. These positions require a weekly commitment for the duration of one academic year.
For more information about classroom assistants, visit our Teach page.
Office Administration and One-time Projects
Help Arts Corps keep its database and other records current! You can work from Arts Corps headquarters during times that are most convenient for you. Arts Corps also has mass mailings at key times during the year, where mass collating and envelope-stuffing is crucial!
Fund Development Committee
This committee helps to nurture a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization, with the goal of sustaining and strengthening Arts Corps programs and services. The committee meets every other month after work. We seek volunteers who can commit to a minimum of one year.
Staff a table or booth and help us spread the word about Arts Corps at community events, or assist at one of our own events.
Photography or videography at a class or event
We hold many poetry slams and other special events throughout the year, as well as over 35 classes every quarter that we could use help documenting! This is a good fit for those who are looking to gain experience as a media-maker, as well as professionals who are willing to volunteer to help us capture special moments.
If you would like to donate other professional skills and services, please see our Donate page.
